How to find your style using the icon method
In any process of editing your closet, or searching for new additions to your wardrobe, you must know the type of style that suits you best.
Lucky women have a certain instinct — either inherent or carefully developed — that allows them to see quickly which items are worth trying on and which are best left on the rack.

Most everyone else, however, is starting at square one and unsure exactly where to begin.
One method is to adopt a style icon, and use that woman’s wardrobe as a template for your own. These days it’s easier than ever; we can choose from celebrity magazines, style magazines, and web sites too numerous to count.
The trick is to find a woman who
- has a style you admire
- has a body type similar to your own
Don’t restrict yourself to modern women or movie stars. Who is more chic today than First Lady Michelle Obama? Who has ever been more chic than Audrey Hepburn?
With your style icon in mind, you’re on your way to becoming an icon yourself!
