Privacy Policy

There are 3 ways you can provide me with personal information on this site: when you leave a comment, when you contact me for style questions, or when you sign up for the Style List email newsletter.

Here’s what I do with that information:

• If you submit a comment, it makes me happy, and then I reply. I use your name to reply to you by, well, your name. I don’t do anything with your email address.
• If you contact me for advice, I use your name to call you by name (see a pattern?). I use your email address to write you back.
• If you sign up for the Style List, you’re only required to give me your email address. I use that to send you the newsletter.

And that’s it.

I don’t sell your information, rent it, or whatever it is those sorts of non-privacy-policy-having people do. (We’re strictly above-board around here at Closet Coach, Inc.)

Affiliate Disclosure

I’m a member of the Amazon Associates, Commission Junction and ShopStyle affiliate programs. But not everything I link to is an affiliate link.

I search for things I like and write my advice posts first. Then, if any of the products can be found through one of my affiliate programs, I’ll use an affiliate link there because, well, that’s pretty much the point of joining an affiliate program, isn’t it? :)

And if I can find shoes on Zappos, I’ll always start there first because their selection can’t be beat and I’m a longtime, loyal VIP customer. (And not just VIP as an idea, but VIP as an actual thing, as in their vip.zappos.com program.) In fact, that’s one of the reasons I signed up with Commission Junction. I figured if I’m always going to link to Zappos, why shouldn’t I be rewarded for it?

So if you like a specific product I’ve recommended, and it happens to have an affiliate link that you click on to purchase, then thank you. If not, I hope you’ve still found some value in the advice and ideas I’ve provided you.

I occasionally review products on the site. I will disclose whether these products were purchased by me or whether the review was compensated by a sample provided by the manufacturer or brand. All reviews are my honest and unbiased opinion regardless of product source. I do not write paid reviews.
